| Since reunification
in 1990,BERLIN has become a popular travel destination. The core of the
historic part of the city is located around Unter de Linden, one of the
most famous streets in Berlin which is dotted with Baroque and Neoclassical monuments
and on Museum Island, which gets its name from the many fine museums built there.
Today very little of the renown Berlin Wall remains in site. To the south
you will find the Checkpoint Charlie Museum which tells the history of
the Wall and the stories of those who tried to escape. Another must see is Potsdam,
(only a small day trip from the city centre) the amazing eighteenth century Sanssouci
