The South Pacific
city of AUCKLAND is located on a thin stretch of the North Island, surrounded
by the Pacific on just almost every side. Auckland has a spectacular harbour and
bridge as and a numerous yachting enthusiasts, which has earned it the nickname
of City of Sails. On warm summer weekends, the harbour and adjoining Hauraki
Gulf explode into a blaze of brightly-coloured sails. The surrounding landscape
is dominated by volcanic hills, beaches and lush subtropical forests. It is a
